Tubs Leaking

Homeowners from time to time experience tubs leaking and need assistance in repairing the problem.
If you are experiencing a leaky tub, you will want to find the leak and repair it before further damage occurs.
There are many reasons for a leaky tub including: drains leaking, pipes leaking or fixtures leaking.
The tub itself may be leaking. If any of these problems occur, you should contact a plumber to repair the problem before the damage goes any further.
- Tubs leaking are not as uncommon as people think. It can happen after years of use and when the pipes, fixtures, and tubs begin to deteriorate with age.
- If you do have a leaking tub, you can have a local plumber assess the problem and determine if it is something simple like missing grout or something more serious such as a fixture that has become worn and needs replacement.
- If you try to correct the problem yourself without using the correct tools or parts, you might only make a temporary fix that could result in future problems. For the most part, you should have a professional plumber come into your home, assess the problem, and recommend a solution. In the long run, this will probably be cheaper than a temporary fix that you would do yourself.
- Leaking tubs are a big problem if the leak manages to find its way to the wood flooring. Water can cause rotting and it might be necessary to replace the entire floor in order to make the bathroom stable again.
- You are always better having a professional take care of the problem as they will tell you everything that is wrong and they can check over everything else to make sure you will have no future problems. Very often a small problem can turn into a very big problem if you do not have an experienced plumber do the job right the first time.
