Rebuilding Together’s Affiliates and Partners Respond to Natural Disaster in Tennessee
WASHINGTON, DC –
Due to the unprecedented flooding in Tennessee recently, low-income homeowners have been disproportionately impacted by the devastation. Not only are their homes and personal belongings destroyed, but often they lack the resources and insurance to rebuild once the crisis is past.
Rebuilding Together, the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership, will be there once the flood waters have receeded.

Sears Holdings Presenting Sponsor: Rebuilding Together’s Fifty for Five Event
WASHINGTON, DC – Sears Holdings has joined Rebuilding Together as the Presenting sponsor for Fifty for Five.
Fifty for Five is Rebuilding Together’s newest and largest rebuilding event, celebrating the revitalization work of New Orleans neighborhoods since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the area in 2005.
Rebuilding Together has invested immense rehabilitating efforts in New Orleans since the time of the hurricanes, and they will mark their progress and promises fulfilled by rebuilding 50 homes in the Gentilly neighborhood on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the hurricanes.

Fifty New Orleans Homes Will Be Rebuilt
Major Week-Long Katrina 5th Anniversary event will rebuild 50 homes and offer a major community celebration of renewal

Rebuilding Together announced plans today for “Fifty for Five.”
Rebuilding Together will rehabilitate fifty homes in New Orleans on the eve of the fifth year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in a week long effort and finish with a community block party and all-welcome major community evening outdoor celebration.
